Kandinsky's Improvisation & Music

Kandinsky's improvisation was very intriguing to me because I was able to recognize some sort of process within it. As a guitarist, I see this painting as a visual representation of what I see in my head when I'm improvising a guitar solo. There are lighter sections with not a lot of emphasis, and harsher sections which draw the eye near. The comparison in my music is the range of dynamics, speeds, and pitches that I use to emphasize certain parts of the solo. The colors throughout the painting are varied and seemingly random, but it follows the same general palette. I try to keep my guitar solos varied and interesting while always staying within a certain framework of the key I'm playing in.
