Reconsidering the Spiritual in Art Erin Woodbridge

In this reading Kuspit talks all about Kandinksy and his artwork. We even get to see some of his work in the margins of the article as we read. Kuspit also writes this work in response to Kandinksy's famous essay. We get to read, not only, about Kuspit's thoughts on Kandinsky, but also some from Kandinksy himself. This article is about the idea that 20th century art needs to be re-evaluated, he argues this needs to be done so that all artists with great works from that time will get recognition, he argues that Picasso is the standout artist, but that many others were doing amazing things at the same time. I found that interesting, as everyone knows Picasso whereas other artists of that time are more often then not lost to history, others than those who may study their work or art history itself.
